The industry has been buzzing about Google’s Tensor processor and how it may boost Pixel phones considerably. However, according to a recent rumour, the Tensor processor may not be from Google, but rather a Samsung-made unannounced Exynos chip.

According to GalaxyClub, the codename for Exynos 9855 is Whitechapel. This codename has previously been linked to the Tensor chip. This suggests that this might be a previously revealed Exynos processor. There’s a good chance it’ll be comparable to the Exynos 9840. It is the Exynos 2100 chip that has been offered for the Galaxy S21 series.

According to reports, the new Tensor SoC’s performance might be in between the Exynos 2100 and the Exynos 2200. (unreleased). The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will also include the 2200. Samsung is assisting Google in the production of Tensor SoCs using a 5nm manufacturing technique, as previously reported.

Google has kept the chip’s technical specifications a secret. However, Google claims that the Pixel 6 will feature the most levels of hardware security of any phone thanks to the new chip’s security core and Titan M2. Furthermore, Google believes that the tensor chip will allow completely new capabilities. There will also be enhancements to existing computational photography models as a result of it. Google’s AI and machine learning algorithms have also been enhanced.

According to reports, the Pixel 6 Pro will sport a 6.7-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A 6.4-inch full-HD+ flat screen with a 90Hz refresh rate will be included in the Pixel 6. Speech-to-text capability takes up a portion of the CPU.

This allows for near-instantaneous text conversion of what the individual says, allowing for quicker text processing. The Pixel 6 series will be pre-loaded with Android 12 and its Material You design, which includes a redesigned UI, enhanced functionality, new features, increased security, and more.
