Broadband services are available from Internet service providers such as Airtel, Jio, and BSNL. Any of these broadband plans are available for as little as Rs 399. The more expensive these programmes are, the more benefits they have. Under Rs 1000 top-tier plans from Airtel, Jio, BSNL, Excitel, and ACT fibernet are discussed in this report.
Airtel XStream Rs 999 broadband plan:
Airtel’s XStream entertainment broadband service includes unlimited internet and voice calls at up to 200 Mbps. It offers connections to streaming applications such as Zee5, Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription, and Airtel XStream. It also provides a free subscription to Wynk Audio.
JioFiber Rs 999 broadband plan: The JioFiber Rs 999 broadband package provides fully limitless internet with download and upload speeds of up to 150Mbps. The contract also includes unrestricted voice calling and access to 14 OTT applications worth Rs 1000, including Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, Sony LIV, Zee5, and Alt Balaji.
BSNL Premium Fibre Rs 999 broadband plan:
For Rs 999, BSNL Fibre Premium broadband plan includes 200 Mbps bandwidth up to 3300GB or 3.3 TB, after which the speed decreases to 2Mbps. This package includes a free Disney+ Hotstar premium membership. Through its broadband plans, BSNL is the only telco that has a paid access to Disney+ Hotstar. However, consumers should be mindful that this offer will only be valid for another two days, as BSNL has expanded the scope of promotional broadband services for another 90 days, beginning January 4, 2021.
BSNL Rs 949 superstar 500 broadband plan:
This is a standard BSNL broadband package that offers 500GB of data per month at a maximum of 50 Mbps, as well as Premium connectivity to Disney+ Hotstar. Another BSNL FTTH broadband package, also priced at Rs 949, provides 100 Mbps capacity but does not include the streaming feature.
Excitel Rs 999 broadband service: Excitel offers a Rs 999 broadband plan with 300 Mbps bandwidth and a month’s validity. Excitel also began offering streaming benefits to customers who sign up for its 300Mbps broadband service with a three-month validity period. Excitel offers 100 Mbps, 200 Mbps, and 300 Mbps speeds for Rs 1695, Rs 1914, and Rs 2256 respectively for three months of validity.
Act broadband Rs 985 plan:
Any of Atria Convergence Limited’s (ACT fibernet) proposals have recently been updated. However, the contracts are region-specific, and in Bangalore, the internet service provider offers a package for Rs 985. The ACT Rapid Plus, which costs Rs 985, provides 750GB of data at 75 Mbps. The speed is limited to 512 Kbps until the limit is reached.
