The OnePlus 9 series of smartphones will be released tomorrow, and the specifications have been leaked yet again.
The OnePlus 9 Series is scheduled to debut tomorrow, and the phones have been leaked yet again just days before the case. This time, the root of the leak is a T-Mobile support page that lists all of the phone’s specifications.
Evan Blass, a well-known tipster, posted screenshots of the help page on Twitter. At least in the United States, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are supposed to come in two different configurations.
The OnePlus 9 has a 6.55-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a hole-punch cutout on the top left corner of the screen, according to the screenshots. The OnePlus 9 Pro has a 6.7-inch fluid AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels.
Both phones are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, which has already been verified. Both can come with 4,500mAh batteries and come in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations. The OnePlus 9 is said to have dimensions of 160 x 74.2mm, while the Pro version is said to have dimensions of 163.2 x 73.6mm.
In response to the tipster’s tweet, @Gm-t16 shared the camera specifications for both smartphones, claiming that the OnePlus 9 would have a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel sensor, a 50-megapixel sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor. The 9 Pro is expected to have a quad-camera configuration with an additional 8MP sensor, with the remaining sensors remaining unchanged. Both will have a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Another piece of OnePlus 9 news is that the phones in China will run ColorOS rather than HydrogenOS. The announcement was made on the OnePlus Forums and was also shared by the CEO. ColorOS is the same operating system that Oppo’s phones use. Both businesses share a lot of information, and now the software experience will be similar as well. OxygenOS will continue to run on OnePlus smartphones outside of China, according to the company.
